The Ondo State Police Command has apprehended a 45-year-old man, Bankole Oginni, in connection with the death of an unidentified woman believed to be his former lover.
The woman’s lifeless body was discovered in the suspect’s residence, with certain body parts missing. The deceased’s daughter alerted the authorities after finding her mother’s body tied with a rope and mutilated in the suspect’s house in Akure.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed the incident, noting that the investigation is underway and the deceased’s remains have been taken to a morgue. The suspect, who identified himself as a footballer, is currently in custody.
