The Jigawa State Police Command thwarted an attempted armed robbery in Kazaure Local Government Area on September 29, 2023. In response to a distress call, the police rushed to the scene, where they found the victim, Bello Aliyu, tied up.
The robbers had stolen his Mercedes Benz, loaded it with household items, and left behind various belongings. Some items, including a motor vehicle, a Samsung phone, a television, speakers, a DSTV receiver, a laptop, Peugeot car key, women’s shoes, caps, and clothes, were recovered.
However, the victim’s Benz ignition key, Tecno phone, and Nokia phone remained missing. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the fleeing criminals. Additionally, one Tanimu Adamu, aged 28, from Dangoro village in Kumbotso LGA of Kano state, was arrested for alleged conspiracy and armed robbery.
