Governor Ahmed promises to provide enabling environment for investments in Kwara State

Kwara State Governor, Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed, has promised to provide enabling environment for investments in the State. This was made known at the commissioning of Sobi 101.9FM which berthed in Kwara. The management of the new radio station assured that the station will revolutionize the broadcasting industry by going the extra mile to deliver the best in people and developmental-oriented programmes, particularly to those at the grassroots.

The stations headquarters christened Wali SUM House is located in Sobi, Ilorin, Kwara State. The commissioning event was witnessed by the
governor of the State, Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, Director General of the National Broadcasting Commission, Mallam Modibbo Kawu and a host of other top dignitaries from within and outside the state.
Speaking, the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Sobi 101.9FM, Alhaji Lukman Mustapha, said the station was established to bridge the gap discovered in the broadcasting industry in the state. He also used the opportunity to urge fellow investors to take advantage of the investment opportunities that abound in the state in support of the efforts of the governor and people.
Governor Ahmed commended the management for deeming it worthy to site the radio station in the state. He assured that the government would continue to provide an enabling environment for investments, while also encouraging indigenes and non-indigenes to take advantage of the numerous opportunities that abounds in Kwara.
The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, showered encomiums on the station for their foresight and dynamism, which has brought their dream to reality. He called on everyone to deploy their resources to fast track the development of the state across all sectors.
