Brig. Gen. Mobolaji Olufunso Johnson, the first governor of Lagos State, is dead.
According to reports, Johnson, died on Wednesday, afternoon around 4:00 pm at the age of 83.
Johnson was Lagos State governor between May 1967 and July 1975 under Gen. Yakubu Gowon who was then, the military Head of State.
Four years after he left office, 1979 precisely, he became a director of a foremost construction company in Nigeria, Julius Berger Nigeria.
In 1996, he emerged its (Julius Berger Plc) chairman until 2009.
