Double celebration: Fidelity Bank, Charles Aigbe win Marketing Edge Awards

It’s indeed, double honour for Fidelity Bank Plc as the financial institution was awarded for being the
‘Outstanding SME Supporting Bank of the Year’ at the 2020 Marketing & Advertising Award for Excellence ceremony which held over the weekend at the D’Podium International Centre in Lagos.

Marketing Edge, organizers of the event says it recognizes Fidelity Bank for its unflinching support for Micro Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (MSMEs) in the country.

Also, the multiple award-winning corporate communications expert, Charles Aigbe- the Divisional Head, Brand & Communications of Fidelity Bank, also won the award for
‘Outstanding Corporate Communications Personality of the Year’.

This did not come as a surprise for industry watchers as Mr. Aigbe is a thoroughbred expert with vast experience in the Marketing Communications field.

His contributions to the growth, development and continuing evolution of the Nigerian marketing and brand management business even in the face of daunting challenges has been laudable.

In appreciation, he thanked the organisers for his award, and also was most grateful that the Fidelity Bank brand has been recognized for it’s immense contributions in terms of support for the growth of SMEs.

Receiving the award on behalf of his organization, Mr. Aigbe said,

“Our long-running support for the growth and development of small businesses in Nigeria stems from our recognition of SMEs as critical agents of economic development and transformation in Nigeria and the world at large.”

He added that the bank had developed a strong multifaceted SME banking platform, driven by its tailored, low cost transactions banking offerings backed by the requisite one-on-one and cluster focused advisory services and hand-holding support.
