71-year-old, others arrested for stealing buses

Suleiman Iyanda, a 71-year-old man, alongside an ex-convict, Gbenga Ajibade, Sunday Alabi, 30, and 45-year-old Wasiu Tiamiyu, were on Thursday, arraigned before an Osun State Magistrates’ Court sitting in Osogbo for allegedly stealing four commercial mini buses. They were accused of conspiring to steal the vehicles in different locations in the state capital between June and earlier this month. Man arrested for raping own daughter, says he was testing her virginity

Wasiu Orilonise, a 37-year-old guard, has confessed to an Oyo State Magistrates’ Court sitting in Ibadan that he raped his 15-year-old daughter in order to ascertain her virginity and protect her. Orilonise begged the court not to punish him as he had carnal knowledge of the victim for protection and to confirm if she was still a virgin.
