Kolawole Zainab, a Higher National Diploma II student in the Department of Quantity Surveying, collapsed while preparing for her first-semester exam on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. The exam was set to begin at 12:00 noon. Despite immediate efforts to rush her to the institution’s medical centre, she was pronounced dead upon arrival .
The sudden loss has deeply affected the campus community. Students and faculty members have expressed their grief, with many mourning the untimely death of their colleague. The institution’s Acting Director of Information, Protocol, and Public Relations, Sola Lawal, confirmed the incident, stating that Zainab was brought in dead to the school’s medical centre .
Zainab, a mother of three, was reportedly revising for her exam when the incident occurred.
