Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has disclosed that she arrested a lady who secretly photographed her at a gym with the intention of body-shaming her.
Blessing, speaking emotionally on the Honest Bunch podcast, recounted how an unflattering photo of her working out was taken without her consent and circulated online, sparking a wave of mixed reactions.
The actress criticised people who undergo cosmetic surgery yet mock women with natural bodies, questioning why anyone would shame others for their appearance.
She said she took decisive steps to identify the culprit, despite the gym initially refusing to release information that could help track the person down.
“I later found the girl that took my picture at the gym and got her arrested, even though the gym hid the information from me,” she said.
Reaffirming her confidence in her natural shape, Blessing added: “This is my body. This is how I’ve always been. I have a six-year-old son. You get BBL and you dey take picture of my natural body — are you stupid?”
The incident has reignited discussions about privacy, consent, and online body-shaming in Nigeria’s entertainment space.
