Chibok Girl Rescued by Operation Hadin Kai Troops

Mary Nkeki, another Chibok schoolgirl, was successfully rescued by the troops of Operation Hadin Kai Theater Command. On August 14, during an operation within the terrorists’ stronghold in Dikwa, she was freed alongside her repentant insurgent spouse named Adam. Mary Nkeki is listed as serial number 55 among the abducted Chibok girls and is currently 27 years old, belonging to the Kibaku tribe.

The Theater Commander, Maj. Gen. Gold Chibuisi, disclosed the news to reporters on Monday, August 21. He revealed that Mary had been forcefully married to the Boko Haram terrorist, Adam, during her captivity. After her rescue, she underwent a thorough medical evaluation at the command’s medical facility and received necessary care.

During her handover to Borno State Government officials, Mary shared her story with the media. She informed them that she had given birth to two daughters fathered by Adam, both of whom unfortunately passed away.

Mary and her husband chose to renounce insurgency, fleeing from the terrorists’ stronghold in the Dikwa area. The troops of Operation Hadin Kai eventually rescued them.
