Family of the late Senator Isiaka Adeleke have threatened court action as it was confirmed that Adeleke died as a result of aspiration of gastric contents due to multiple drug overdoses. A public bus driver was yesterday handcuffed to a patrol truck by policemen along Sopkonba Road Junction, Benin, the Edo State capital. 21 victims have given mass burial as the death toll in the attack at Epogi community of Mokwa Local Government Area, Niger State has risen to 27, while the state government has vowed that the perpetrators will be brought to book.
