Eight days after 149 Nigerians voluntarily returned from Libya, another batch of 258 on Tuesday came back home from the North African country where they had been stranded on their way to Europe. The returnees were brought back aboard a Libyan Airlines aircraft with Registration Number 5A-LAU. A joint union comprising the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU) and some other unions have on Tuesday, November 14, declared a total and indefinite strike action. The other unions include Senior Staff Association of Teaching Hospitals, as well as Academic Staff Union of Research Institutions. A temporary freezing order has been granted by a federal High Court, Lagos, freezing N350 million belonging to AM-PM Global Network Limited, alleged to have been secretly hidden in an account with Stanbic-IBTC Bank by former First Lady, Patience Jonathan. Justice Hadiza Rabiu-Shagari ordered the temporary freezing of the account following an ex-parte application filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and argued by its counsel, Mr. Rotimi Oyedepo.
