In a petition to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, dated January 14, 2019, a middle-aged man, Mr Onyenankeya Uzoma, has accused his nephew of fraud running into N43.7m and $1,000 (about N400,000). He said the nephew, one Okoro, exploited the involvement of his wife in fatal road accident to swindle him out of the sums of money under the guise that she was safe. A warrant of arrest has been issued against the Chairman of Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB, Dr. Muhammed  Isah, by a Kaduna State High Court, on Friday, for contempt. NURTW boss sentenced to death for killing police officer in Lagos

The chairman of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Saheed Arogundade, was yesterday sentenced to death by hanging by Justice Olabisi Akinlade of Lagos High Court, Ikeja, for killing a police officer, Gbenga Oladipupo. The judge found Arogundade guilty of murder, in the incident that took place at Gbara junction, Ayetoro, Ajegunle, Lagos on April 10, 2010.
