Covid-19: Cases hit 31,323 in Nigeria

Nigeria recorded 575 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday bringing total confirmed cases to 31,323. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control stated that 12,795 patients have been discharged upon treatment and recovery. It added that 709 associated deaths were recorded while new infections were reported in Lagos State, the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, among others. Mohammed Adamu, the Inspector-General of Police, on Friday directed the immediate withdrawal of all police operatives serving at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. He directed that they should be replaced with new ones.
