Shariah court: Rapist sentenced to death by stoning in Kano

An Upper Shariah Court situated in Kano State has sentenced a 60-year-old man, identified as Mati Abdu to death by stoning for defiling a minor. Abdu, a native of Farsa village in Tsanyawa Local Government area of Kano State was said to have allegedly raped a 12-year-old girl in a broad daylight and under a tree at Farsa Village sometimes last year. A motorcylist, named Nwamaka Nwaolie is at present, cooling his feet at the police facility after he was arrested from his hide out. Covid-19: 437 new cases confirmed, total infection now 46,577

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has confirmed 437 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 46,577. The NCDC made this known on its official twitter handle on Sunday.
