Covid-19: FG orders schools to conduct weekly assessment

‌ In preparation for schools reopening, the Federal Government has released more guidelines that will prevent the spread of COVID-19. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, which disclosed this on Thursday, stated that schools had been directed to conduct COVID-19 risk assessment every week. The NCDC also disclosed that local governments and states were directed to conduct monthly and quarterly COVID-19 risk assessment in schools respectively. ‌Controversial former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has separated from his wife, Precious Chikwendu, with whom he had four sons. Edo 2020: Police to deploy 3 officers per polling unit

The Nigerian Police Force has said it will deploy three police officers and personnel of other security agencies to each of the 2,627 polling units across Edo State for the September 19 governorship election. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) at midnight on Monday said that the death toll for the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in Nigeria had jumped to 1, 083. Herdsmen arrested for rape and robbery in Ogun State

Two herdsmen, Abu Adamu and Muhammadu Aliyu were arrested by policemen from the Ewekoro Divisional Headquarters Ogun State and transferred to Ogun State Police Command.
