NLC chairman abducted by gunmen in Taraba

News filtering out from Taraba State has it that the state Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress, Peter Jediel has been kidnapped. He was said to have been picked at his home in Sunkani, headquarters of ArdoKola Local Government Area of the state. Younger brother of the Labour Chairman said that Jediel’s abductors stormed the house around 12.30 am Sunday morning. Covid-19: NCDC records 1,588 new cases

1,588 new cases of COVID-19 has been recorded by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 139,242. The High Court sitting in Akure, Ondo State yesterday, ordered that the Nigerian Breweries (NB) Plc depot in Akure be sealed off pending the settlement of their tax liabilities to the state government. Justice William Akinrotoye also granted the cross-petition of the state government for the recovery of N169.175 million from the company, being the haulage fees it owed for the period 2017 to 2019. Chinese expatriates abducted by labourers in Osun

Some labourers hired by three Chinese miners have been reportedly abducted on a mining site located at Akere Village near Ifewara, Osun State. Before the men were abducted, it was gathered that a policeman attached to the expatriates was killed.
