Mrs. Eunice Aghanya, wife of retired Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Mr Ibe Aghanya, was assassinated in Makurdi, the Benue capital on Saturday. The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of Benue State Police Command, DSP Catherine Anene said that the victim was killed by unknown gunmen at her Makurdi residence, behind Kismet Hotel, off David Mark Bye-Pass, Makurdi on Friday afternoon.
