The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 45-year-old Alimot Haruna for allegedly smuggling 42 northern children into Lagos without their parents’ consent. Armed men suspected to be terrorists have killed three persons, including 65-year-old Imam, Bashiru Jibrin, at Yandaka village, Batsari Local Council of Katsina State. The gunmen, who reportedly struck on Tuesday about 9.00pm, also abducted more than 32 persons, including women and children. Among the deceased was a 12-year-old boy simply identified as Haruna. Cocaine, arms and ammunition worth N4.3bn has been intercepted by the Nigeria Customs Service, Tincan Island Command.
