An Oyo State High Court has sentenced Akanmu Kabiru, a dismissed police officer, to three years’ imprisonment for receiving bribe from an armed robbery suspect, Badmus Akojode. Olayemi Adeoye, a car snatcher who allegedly specialises in stealing particularly Honda brand, has been arrested by the Ondo State Police Command. The state police said the suspect had stolen no fewer than 32 vehicles, adding that the operatives of the command had arrested him many times but he managed to get freedom.
