A passenger of a commercial bus, who claimed to be a soldier, has been arrested after beating up a traffic policewoman on duty. The man who posed as a soldier, Yemi Ayeni, aged 32 was dismissed from the Nigerian Army Depot in Zaria since year 2002 on mental health grounds after spending four months in training. Gunmen attacked Ukuru Village in Mariga Local Government Area of Niger state, leaving 14 people dead while about five others escaped with injuries. The Niger State Police Command confirmed the killings.
