A Customary Court sitting at Agodi-Ibadan has dissolved the seven-year-old marriage between a retiree, Taofeek Giwa and Abiodun Omotayo, on Friday on the ground that the respondent beats the husband at will. Five men have been charged to Court by the Federal Government on Wednesday for allegedly importing 661 pump-action rifles into the country without lawful authority. The accused persons were arraigned before Justice Ayokunle Faji at the Federal High Court in Lagos. They are Mahmud Hassan, Oscar Okafor, Donatus Achinulo, Matthew Okoye, said be at large, and Salihu Danjuma. Nigeria Senate President, Bukola Saraki has been declared free from all 18 count charges brought against him by the Federal Government. The Code of Conduct Tribunal Wednesday dismissed all charges saying he has no case to answer over false assets declaration brought against him by the federal government.
