An Ikeja Magistrates’ Court has ordered the remand of a 28-year-old pastor, Seyi Adelana, who allegedly defiled two boys, at Kirikiri Prisons, Lagos. A branch of Polaris Bank located in the Oke Ejigbo area of Ila Orangun, Osun State was on Thursday, attacked by armed robbers. The robbers reportedly killed a policeman, simply identified as Oloke Mewa, who was one of the security guards working at the bank, and a medical doctor, who was simply identified as Moshood. Sunday Umaru, a 34-year-old dismissed solider has been sentenced to death by hanging by a Plateau State High Court sitting in Barkin Ladi, on Wednesday, for hacking his lover to death over a message he found on her mobile telephone. Two sisters have been arrested by officers of the Kuje Medium Security Prison in the Federal Capital Territory for attempting to smuggle substances suspected to be cannabis and Tramadol into the prison premises.
