Issad Rebrab, Algeria’s richest man, has been detained in jail on the public prosecutor’s orders, a day after his arrest as part of a corruption probe. Sri Lanka attacks claimed by Islamic State group

The devastating string of suicide attacks against churches and hotels in Sri Lanka that killed more than 320 people on Easter Sunday, has been claimed by the Islamic State group. Access Bank Plc, Diamond Bank Plc and First Aluminium Plc, were fined a total of N8.12m for disclosure violations by the Nigerian Stock Exchange. The NSE, in its latest X-Compliance report, said the Access Bank and Diamond Bank were fined for failing to disclose the resolutions passed at the meeting of their board of directors. Over 138 dead as Sri Lanka’s blasts hit churches, hotels

At least 138 people were killed and 450 hurt in the bomb attacks on several churches and hotels in Sri Lanka. An incident which coincided with Easter celebrations. Eight blasts were reported, including at three churches in Negombo, Batticaloa and Colombo’s Kochchikade district. The Shangri-La, Kingsbury and Cinnamon Grand hotels and one other, all in the capital, were also targeted. Couple sells six-hour-old baby for N850,000

A child trafficking syndicate who allegedly sold a six-hour-old baby for N850,000 shortly after he was born, have been arrested by operatives of the Imo State Police Command.
