Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has opened up about his current health struggles, revealing that walking has become difficult for him.
The respected actor made the disclosure while visiting his Ghanaian colleague, Emmanuel Armah, who has reportedly been battling health challenges for several years.
During the emotional visit, Edochie said he was also dealing with his own health issues and had experienced swelling in different parts of his body.
According to the veteran actor, his hand and leg sometimes swell before returning to their normal state.
“Walking is a problem for me now, but I still have hope that I will recover myself,” Edochie said.
The actor also spoke about his relationship with God and his acceptance of mortality, saying he regularly prays that when his time comes, God should take him peacefully rather than allow him to become a burden to others.
Despite his difficulties, Edochie remained hopeful about his recovery.
The veteran actor, who has enjoyed a career spanning several decades, is widely regarded as one of the most respected figures in Nigeria’s film industry.
His revelation has sparked concern among fans and colleagues, although he did not disclose a specific medical diagnosis responsible for his difficulty walking and the reported swelling.
Edochie’s comments came as he offered support, prayers and financial assistance to Emmanuel Armah during his visit to Ghana.
