Pastor Chris Okafor Apologises to Doris Ogala Amid Feud, Kneels in Church to Seek Forgiveness

Senior Pastor of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracles Ministries, Chris Okafor, on Sunday publicly apologised to Nollywood actress Doris Ogala, kneeling before his congregation as he sought forgiveness over what he described as past “mistakes.”

The apology follows weeks of intense public controversy between both parties, which has played out largely on social media. Ogala had accused the cleric of engaging in an affair, making unfulfilled marriage promises, sharing explicit content, and allegedly offering her $10,000 to withdraw claims that she was sponsored by rival pastors to defame him.

In a video shared on Sunday by NigeriaStories on X, Okafor was seen standing at the pulpit with a microphone, addressing worshippers during a church service.

“Listen, we’re not joining issues. Mistakes have been made in the past, and I tender an apology to everybody,” the pastor said.
He went on to mention the actress by name, stating: “I am sorry to everyone I have offended, to Doris Ogala also. I say sorry and apologise to everyone that I’ve offended.”

Okafor further expressed readiness to make amends, adding, “I’m ready to make a restitution to anyone, anybody, any lady I have offended. I am sorry. Forgive me.”

Acknowledging his human flaws, the cleric said, “Not perfect, I’ve never been perfect.”

The congregation responded by rising to their feet and applauding the pastor following the public apology.
