The Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Lagos, on Wednesday, October 16, 2025, conferred an honorary fellowship award on the Managing Director of Jawa International Group, Mr. Varkey Verghese.
The conferment took place during the 25th Investiture Ceremony of the Faculty, held at the Old Great Hall, College of Medicine, Idi-Araba, Lagos.
Speaking at the event, the President of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Lere Baale, said the award was in recognition of Mr. Verghese’s outstanding contributions to healthcare development, exemplary leadership, and unwavering commitment to professional and community advancement.
Prof. Baale commended Mr. Verghese for his consistent support of pharmaceutical education and innovation, noting that his efforts have significantly impacted the healthcare industry in Nigeria and beyond.
