Lawmaker lured, robbed of $2,000 by kidnapper

Cyril Isong, an information technology expert, has been apprehended by the police for the alleged abduction of a House of Representative member. Isong, who lived in Abuja, reportedly connived with others at large to lure the lawmaker to a short let apartment in Asokoro, Abuja, with a woman and held him hostage afterwards, dispossessing him of $2,000 and N65,000. Professor Chukwuma Soludo, Anambra State governor–elect, has described the woman who rejected the bribe of N5,000 to influence her voting during the just concluded governorship election as exhibiting the true spirit of a typical Anambra person.
