Customs impound 42 drums of explosives worth N3.1b

A total number of 42 drums of explosives in the form of calcium carbide and other contraband worth N3.1billion was smuggled into Nigeria from Benin Republic, but intercepted by the Federal Operations Unit (FOU), Zone A of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), yesterday. Boy dumped on roadside by moving vehicle survives

A boy whose age may not be more than a year and half, was thrown out of a moving car in Imo State, but has luckily survived death. The residence of the Bursar of the University of Benin, Dr. Victor Imagbe, situated at Ogheghe along the Sapele Road, Benin, was invaded by gunmen on Thursday, but he escaped.
