On Thursday, in Logo Local Government Area of Benue State, unknown gunmen tragically killed three individuals. Among the victims were two members of the Benue State Volunteer Guards, who were targeted in Ugba.
The third victim, a female, was fatally shot in Abeda-Shitile, also within Logo LGA. In addition to these fatalities, several others sustained injuries as the gunmen opened fire on villagers during the Thursday afternoon incident.
Terser Agber, the former chairman of the local government, confirmed the incident, revealing that two individuals, who were part of the present volunteer guards, lost their lives to the unknown gunmen.
One of the deceased had received training, while the other had not yet undergone training. Terkimbi, who is still awaiting further details of the incident, mentioned that both victims had previously served in the now-disbanded vigilante group in the area, with one of them recently trained and awaiting induction into the BCVG.
