Ogun State Police Thwart Cultist’s Felony Attempt

In another turn of events in Abioro community, Sango, in the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State, Afolabi Taiwo was apprehended by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly attempting to commit a felony.

The incident took place on November 1, 2023, when Afolabi intruded into a complainant’s compound in Abioro Street. The police, with the assistance of the So-Safe Corps, arrested Afolabi after he attempted to carry out the felony. The complainant’s alarm alerted neighbors, leading to his arrest at the scene.

During questioning, Afolabi confessed to being a member of the outlawed Eiye Confraternity Cult Group and revealed that he was initiated into the cult in 2020 in Ajah, Lagos State. This confession is valuable for gathering further intelligence and facilitating the apprehension of other individuals implicated by Afolabi’s statement.

The joint operation between the police and the So-Safe Corps is commended for preventing Afolabi’s alleged felony, and his arrest represents a step in the ongoing fight against crime.
