Referees to start using blue card in football

The International Football Association Board [IFAB] is working on plans to have Blue Card introduced to the referees collection of cards in football. It is learnt that officials will carry blue cards which if shown to culpable players would result in a spell of 10 minutes in the sin bin. It was also gathered that offences such as dissent and cynical fouls would see players sent to the sin bin. IFAB is expected to give approval for the trials at its annual meeting in March. NDLEA arrests 92 suspects, seizes 217kg illicit substances in Kaduna

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Kaduna State Command, has arrested 92 suspects and seized 217.02kg of illicit substances since the beginning of 2024. The state commander of NDLEA, Mr Samaila Danmalam, disclosed this in an on Friday in Kaduna. According to him, the suspects comprise 88 males and four females.
