A 32-year-old housewife, Halima Umar reportedly cut off her husband’s manhood in Taraba State for allegedly impregnating another woman. The sordid event happened on Sunday, October 26, 2020 when a man, Babangida but popularly known as Bangis, who is in his early 30s, suffered severe injuries on his genitals after his wife attempted to cut off his penis. The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has been criticised for fining Arise TV, Channels Television and the African Independent Television (AIT) about N3m for alleged “unprofessional coverage” of EndSARS protests and the use of unverifiable social media reports.
