Labour threatens strike over delay in implementation of new minimum wage

Members of the Joint National Public Service Negotiating Council and the eight unions in the public service across the country have threatened to embark on industrial action over what they perceived as Federal Government’s persistent effort to derail the implementation of the new national minimum wage of N30,000. Children born in polluted areas have lower IQs -study

A recent study has revealed that children born to mothers who live in polluted areas may grow up to be less intelligent. Research has found being exposed to tiny particles of air pollution while in the womb could affect brain development so much it dents a child’s Intelligent Quotient (IQ). Toxic particles may be able to travel through the placenta and cause direct brain damage, or stop the placenta working properly, scientists suggest.
