96-Year-Old Indian Woman sets world record, Scores 98% In Literacy Exam

A 96-year-old woman, Karthyayani Amma, has set a world record by scoring 98 marks out of 100 in the literacy exam in southern Indian state of Kerala. The Kerala State literacy mission conducts equivalency examination in different grades for people who could not get proper schooling.   After the results were declared on Wednesday, Karthyayani Amma was felicitated by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Italian court has sentenced former Juventus and Italy striker Vincenzo Iaquinta to two years in prison as part of a mafia trial. Man arrested for diverting mosquito nets in Gombe

Gombe Zonal Office of The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, has arrested one Sunday Ogar for allegedly diverting 15 bundles of mosquito net, each containing 50 pieces. The nets were reportedly meant for distribution in 40 general hospitals in the Dukku Local Government Area of Gombe State before they were diverted.
