Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode on Tuesday released twelve inmates of the Kirikiri Maximum Security Prison in Apapa in furtherance of the law establishing the State Advisory Council on Prerogative of Mercy. The inmates have spent between thirty-four and twenty years in prison and were released having satisfied basic conditions such as remorse, good behaviour and readiness to contribute meaningfully to the society. FG Orders Arrest Of Marketers Who Hoard Petrol

The Federal Government has ordered security agencies to arrest petroleum marketers who purposely hoard products to create the artificial scarcity currently being experienced. This is even as oil marketers have been warned to desist from hoarding the product or risk being arrested by industry regulators who have been detailed for enforcement.
