Senator Ned Nwoko has broken his silence following a viral video showing his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, in a distressed state, describing her recent behavior as “drug-induced” and “unprovoked violence.”
In a detailed statement and video shared via his Instagram handle @princenednwoko on Sunday, the senator alleged that Regina was battling drug and alcohol addiction, which he claimed had caused the ongoing turmoil in their marriage.
“Regina was not always like this. Her struggle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the real cause of our marital crisis. She must continue her rehabilitation programme, or I fear for her life and safety,” Nwoko wrote.
According to him, the actress allegedly went on a violent rampage at their residence while he was away, attacking domestic staff and vandalizing property.
“She slapped and assaulted three staff members in the past 48 hours and damaged property, including cars and windows, without any provocation,” he claimed.
Nwoko further alleged that Regina had moved to an environment where she could easily access drugs, despite his attempts to help her. He said he had recommended two rehabilitation options — one in Asokoro and another in Jordan — to ensure her recovery.
He also blamed Regina’s close associates for worsening the situation, describing them as “drug suppliers.”
“While I took Moon to the hospital, chaos erupted at home, led by Sammy, Regina’s main drug supplier. Another known supplier is the small evil one called Ann,” the senator alleged.
His statement came hours after a viral video showed Regina Daniels appearing visibly upset and shouting during a confrontation. In the clip, she was heard saying:
“In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing. But in my own house, I am a Queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence—it’s too much.”
Regina’s brother, Ojeogwu Samuel Danhillman, popularly known as Sammy West, reacted angrily on Instagram, accusing the senator of domestic abuse and vowing to protect his sister.
“Anywhere a man beats a woman, whether she’s my sister or not, I’ll fight with my blood,” he wrote.
As of press time, neither Regina Daniels nor her representatives had issued an official statement in response to Nwoko’s allegations.
The couple, who married in 2019, have long been the subject of public interest due to their 40-year age difference and high-profile lifestyle.
