Court remands Chemist for allegedly performing abortion

A 40-year-old chemist, Folake Oluwafemi has been remanded by an Ado-Ekiti Magistrates’ Court on Monday, for allegedly performing an abortion that led to death. The defendant, whose address was not provided, was charged with manslaughter before Magistrate Omolola Akosile. The Prosecutor, Insp. Monica Ikebuilo, told the court that Oluwafemi carried out an abortion on one Miss Oluwabukola Adeosun and it caused her death. Men of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested a three-man ‘one-chance’ robbery gang after being identified by one of their victims, Mrs Taye Olotu, at a motor park in the Atan-Ota area of the state.
