Two members of a Celestial Church of Christ in Egbeda village near Osogbo, were electrocuted during church service on Sunday while service was ongoing. It was learnt that four people were affected, adding that while two died, two survived. The deceased, Yinka Adeniyi and Busayo Akande, were said to be holding microphones when they were electrocuted. The United States embassy has suspended the drop box service or interview waivers for Nigerians willing to renew their visas to the country. In a statement on its website yesterday, the embassy said henceforth, all applicants, including frequent travellers who used to deploy the drop box method, would now have to appear for interviews every time they apply. House of Representatives’ Committee on Public Accounts has said Nigeria has not been witnessing prudent use of government resources under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. The committee said the current administration could not be differentiated from the previous ones in terms of prudent use of government funds.
