Fayemi defeats Olusola-Eleka at Supreme Court

The Peoples Democratic Party and its candidate for the Ekiti State governorship poll, Kolapo Olusola-Eleka’s appeal challenging  the declaration of Kayode Fayemi of the  All Progressives Congress as the winner of the election has been dismissed by the Supreme Court on Friday. Confirming  Fayemi’s election, the five-man Supreme Court  panel  led by acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad,  unanimously held that the appeal challenging the outcome of the polls lacked merit. The Code of Conduct Bureau has said President Muhammadu Buhari,  Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, governors and other public officers whose tenure ends on May 29 must submit their end-of-tenure asset declaration forms on May 28, 2019. Medical student commits suicide for failing exam

Uzakah Ebiweni, a 300-level medical student of the Niger Delta University, Ammasoma in the Southern Ijaw Local Governmant Area of Bayelsa State, has committed suicide for failing his examination.
