Turkey mine explosion kills 28, many trapped

A coal pit in northern Turkey, where a methane blast occurred a day earlier, has killed at least 28 people. Rescuers worked on Saturday to free more than a dozen miners still thought to be trapped underground. “Fifty eight of our miners were able to come out unharmed.    Ondo state police detectives have arrested a 42-year-old businessman, Kelechukwu Onuka, for the murder of his wife, Nnenna, over dispute on “unexplained” N10 million. Olajide Kareem, alias Seun Egbegbe, a Nollywood filmmaker and producer, has been convicted for fraud by a Federal High Court in Lagos, after spending six years and eight months in prison custody. Man sentenced to seven months imprisonment for raping 14-year-old sister

A 21-year-old man, Chinedu Eziuzo, has been sentenced to seven months’ imprisonment by a Federal High Court sitting in Awka, Anambra State, for raping his 14-year-old sister in Adazi-Enu, in the Anaocha Local Government Area of the state.
