Afrobeats superstar Davido has gifted his former signee and close friend, Mayorkun, a brand-new Tesla Cybertruck, reaffirming the strong bond between the two music stars years after Mayorkun left Davido Music Worldwide (DMW).
Davido announced the surprise gift via his Instagram Story, where he shared a photo of the luxury electric pickup truck alongside a heartfelt message.
“My gift to you. I love you #iammayorkun,” Davido wrote, while instructing an associate to ensure the vehicle was delivered the following day.
Although the singer did not reveal the exact value of the vehicle, the Tesla Cybertruck sells for between $69,990 and $99,990 in the United States, depending on the model. Due to import duties, shipping costs, and taxes, brand-new units are estimated to cost between ₦200 million and ₦340 million in Nigeria.
Mayorkun, who rose to fame after signing with DMW in 2016 before becoming an independent artist in 2021, has continued to maintain a cordial relationship with Davido, with both stars frequently expressing mutual respect and support for each other.
