Nigerian music producer and Mavin Records founder, Don Jazzy, has reflected on the personal sacrifices he may have made in his pursuit of success in the entertainment industry.

Speaking on the Echo Podcast, the 42-year-old music executive was asked what part of himself he had to give up while building his career. In response, Don Jazzy admitted that marriage was the one thing he never expected to miss out on.

“I never thought I would be in my 40s and not married. Maybe that’s one thing I lost along the way. If it happens, it happens; if not, I’m totally fine,” he said.

The producer, who has played a pivotal role in launching the careers of stars such as Tiwa Savage, Rema, and Ayra Starr, added that even if he wasn’t a record label boss, he would still have been in the music industry or perhaps an influencer.

Despite acknowledging the trade-off, Don Jazzy stressed that he remains fulfilled with his achievements and the legacy he continues to build in Nigerian music.

His comments have stirred fresh discussions online about the challenges of balancing personal life and professional ambition, particularly in the entertainment world.
