The wife of Anambra State Governor, Mrs. Nonye Soludo, has dismissed allegations made by Senator Uche Ekwunife, describing them as “false, laughable and pitiable.”
Ekwunife, in a viral video, had alleged that Mrs. Soludo once worked under the administration of the late former Governor Chinwoke Mbadinuju. She also took a swipe at Governor Charles Soludo, accusing him of poor performance in office and even making unflattering remarks about his personal hygiene.
In a strongly worded reaction on Wednesday, Mrs. Soludo denied ever having any connection with Mbadinuju’s government, insisting she never worked with or even met the former governor.
“I have never in my life met late Governor Mbadinuju, let alone worked under his administration. The claims are nothing but fabrications,” she said.
Mrs. Soludo further challenged Senator Ekwunife to concentrate on clarifying issues surrounding her own academic records, particularly her controversial PhD, instead of making baseless allegations.
“The senator should focus on defending her doctorate degree rather than cooking up stories about me,” she added.
The exchange has generated heated reactions across Anambra political circles, with supporters of both women trading words on social media.
