Nigerian nightlife promoter and businessman, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has disclosed that he once accommodated Grammy-winning Afrobeat superstar, Burna Boy, in his home during the singer’s early career struggles.
Chief Priest made the revelation during a recent livestream session with TikToker, Peller, at his mansion in Owerri, Imo State.
According to him, Burna Boy—now celebrated worldwide as the “African Giant”—stayed in his house several times while trying to gain his footing in the competitive Nigerian music industry.
“I have brought everybody [celebrities] here. CP no small. Burna Boy used to squat in my place for days. Giant of Africa no be person go bring am up?” he said proudly.
The socialite, who described himself as a longtime supporter of entertainment talents, added: “Money na water! I have been doing this business for a long time.”
Burna Boy, who has repeatedly shared stories of his early struggles, is today one of Africa’s most successful artists, with multiple international awards, sold-out concerts, and global recognition to his name.
However, despite their history, the singer is no longer on good terms with his former benefactor, a fallout that has caught the attention of fans across the entertainment scene.
