Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested a former councillor in Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area, Sheleru Sadiq Olalekan, after 40 kilogrammes of skunk, a strain of cannabis, were allegedly discovered hidden inside baby diapers at his residence. Olalekan, 45, who previously served two terms as councillor representing the Orimedu community in the council, was arrested on Monday, March 2, 2026, at his home in Ilado, Ibeju-Lekki, following credible intelligence linking him to illicit drug sale and trafficking.
