Six killed, many abducted as gunmen attack Sokoto village on Sallah day

Six persons were reportedly killed while many others were abducted as armed men suspected to be terrorists attacked a village in Gwadabawa Local Government Area of Sokoto State on Sallah day (yesterday). The gunmen were said to have stormed Tudun Doki village at about 1:30 am on Sallah day. The Public Relations Officer of the Police Command in Sokoto, Ahmed Rufa’i, confirmed the attack. Kenyan judge dies after courtroom shooting

Monica Kivuti, a Kenyan magistrate, who was shot by a senior police officer earlier this week, has died, according to the country’s chief justice. The Makadara Principal Magistrate was shot by a policeman at a court in the capital, Nairobi, on Thursday after she cancelled his wife’s bail because the woman had absconded. Following the attack, the policeman, identified as Samson Kipchirchir Kipruto, was shot dead by other officers.
