Evangelist, five others sentenced to death by hanging for bank robberies

A popular Akure based Evangelist, Adewale Adelu, and five others have been sentenced to death by hanging by an Akure High Court, in Ondo state, for robbing two different banks in the state, 13 years ago. The convicts were said to have robbed the banks and carted away N34m. Anambra lawyer charged to court for brutalising maid

A lawyer, Mrs Adachukwu Okafor, has been denied bail by the Children, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence Court, sitting at the Chief Magistrate’s Court in Awka, Anambra State for allegedly inflicting physical injuries on the body of her 11-year-old housekeeper and ordered her remand at the State Criminal and Investigative Department custody in Awka.
