Nollywood actress, Sola Onayiga dies

Veteran actress, Sola Awojobi Onayiga, is dead. The gap-toothed actress, popular for playing Ireti in the now-defunct family drama, Fuji House of Commotion, died on Monday. Her death was announced by a renowned movie critic, Husseini Shaibu, via his Twitter page. The deputy governor of Oyo State, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan has been impeached by the state’s House of Assembly over allegations of gross misconduct and financial impropriety, while in office. Zamfara state government has suspended the Emir of Birnin ‘Yandoto of Tsafe Local Government Area in Zamfara State, Alhaji Aliyu Marafa, for conferring title of Sarkin Fulani on a notorious bandit leader Ada Aleru. Fintech owners bag jail term in US over $167million money laundering

Top executives of a United States-based fintech company, Ping Express have been sentenced to 27 months imprisonment for breaching money laundering rules. The fintech executives who are Nigerians with the names Anslem Oshionebo and Opeyemi Odeyale pleaded guilty to contravening money laundering rules after sending $167 million to Africa unchecked in less than three years.
