Ojudu to Fayemi: Stay more at home, be financially prudent

Senator Babafemi Ojudu

Senator Babafemi Ojudu, Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, urged the Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi to spend more time at home and be more prudent with state resources.

He explained that public perception about the Dr Kayode Fayemi-led All Progressives Congress administration was unhealthy for the party. This, he explained, was responsible for his constant reminders to the governor.

This was contained in a statement titled ‘Ojudu’s criticism of Fayemi’s govt done in good faith, aide insists’, signed by his media aide, Ahmed Lawal, in Ado Ekiti on Sunday.

He said, “Time is running out for our party and what the people there are saying about us less than a year to the election is not encouraging at all.

“The governor should do the needful by paying attention to governance, exhibit financial prudency, be more committed, stay more at home and see himself as servant, rather than a master and give Ekiti good governance”.

In a statement titled, ‘Do something Dr Fayemi’, Ojodu painted a gory picture of roads in Ekiti State, saying, “A trip from Ado Ekiti to Itaure which should ordinarily take 30 minutes now takes like two and a half hours.

“Going from Omuo to Ado Ekiti is hell. Same as traveling from Akure to Ado Ekiti. An infrastructural emergency needs to be declared in Ekiti. May God help us and help our governor and his team”.
