Neymar Sent Off As PSG Salvage Draw

World’s most expensive player, Neymar was on target as Paris St Germain faced Olympique Marseille in a Ligue 1 clash on Sunday but got sent off before the final whistle.

The Brazilian, who moved to the French giants from Barcelona this summer, scored his 10th goal since joining the club for a record £200m.

His 33rd-minute goal cancelled Marseille’s opener gotten by a 30-yard strike by Luiz Gustavo in the 16th minute.

Florian Thauvin then put Marseille ahead again with 10 minutes remaining, before Neymar was booked twice in two minutes.

Neymar picked up his first booking of the night when he decided to confront a defender who had just fouled him.

And he was sent off shortly after, following an altercation with Lucas Ocampos, who went down dramatically in front of the referee exactly three minutes to stoppage time.

But Edinson Cavani scored a stunning 93rd-minute free kick to salvage a draw for the visitors as they remain unbeaten in the league this season.

PSG are four points clear of Monaco at the top of the table, while Marseille are fifth.
